The FAQ
What should we wear?
I recommend wearing what is most comfortable for you and what you'll feel confident in. The last thing you want to be doing during a shoot is sucking it in the entire time because your dress is too tight, or constantly pulling on a shirt that won't stay down. You also want to avoid clashing patterns (i.e. flannels and polka dots) and colors that are too similar to the location (i.e. wearing green to a Christmas tree farm session). Neutrals are the way to go!
When will I receive my photos?
Lifestyle session photos will be available for online viewing & downloading approximately 2-3 weeks after the shoot. Wedding photos normally take 6-8 weeks.
How will I receive my photos?
Photo sessions will be uploaded to an online gallery and you will be emailed with a pin to access it. You are able to download the photos right to your phone or computer, print through that site, or upload your photos to a different printing site. You will have complete printing rights to your photos.
I'm awkward in front of a camera, will you tell me what to do?
Of course! I don't expect you to be a model and know what to do with your hands. I will guide you with prompts, games, maybe a little dirty humor (age appropriate) to get you laughing, comfortable, and natural in front of the camera. Movement is key. If you're doing something and I don't say anything, that means it's working -- keep doing it!
How do I book you?
You can book through emailing me at stillhillproductions@gmail.com, reaching out through Facebook messenger or send a message on Instagram @stillhillproductions. You can also fill out the "contact" form on the website!
Can you help with planning?
I will give you recommendations in styling your session, picking the location, or help planning your timeline or your wedding and determining how many hours of coverage you'll need!
What is your shooting & editing style?
I am a sucker for candid shots. I love being able to peel back those layers (especially of the men in my sessions) to get your true, goofy, natural self to shine. Of course, I'll always get the Christmas card shot and the ones of you smiling to send to Grandma and Grandpa, but I'm a lifestyle photographer -- I want to capture moments that are unique and organic to each person. As for my editing style, I use more moody and darker tones. If you're looking for bright & airy, I'm not your girl. I also LOVE black and white, so more often than not, I will edit the same photo in color and B&W so you can decide which one you love more.
Can you make my stomach thinner/teeth whiter?
Unfortunately, no. With lifestyle sessions, they are supposed to portray you exactly as you are.
